Festival 20.21 gives SDH the space to develop a first pilot of the new SDH series: Imaginary Landscapes. With this series of concerts, SDH brings 20th-century classics to an immersive, 21st-century setting. Tonight SDH will translate a number of works by 20th-century multimedia visionary and maker John Cage into the present. The pure sound adventurer who makes you listen differently time and time again. This program mainly features early Cage works: an unpredictable piece for an old radio collection, a line of ‘muzak’ from the time when there were hardly any supermarkets in our country, a percussion piece with beer cans in a leading role, and an intimate dialogue between electronics and acoustic sounds.
Coder and composer Darien Brito is developing an installation based on Cage’s Radio Music, instead of the original radio channels streaming services are used.
